Announcing a competition

The INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR MEDICAL INNOVATIONS announces a competition for the creation of educational histological specimens

The mission of the INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR MEDICAL INNOVATIONS is to help medical professionals save the lives of critically ill patients and to promote the implementation of the most promising innovations in the field of healthcare. That is why, for many years, we have been striving to bring cancer treatment to a new level, as it is one of the leading causes of mortality in the country.

Today, we are announcing a project to create the National Digital Library of Pathomorphological Images. Its goal is to build a high-quality digital collection of pathomorphological materials, which will:

  • provide widely accessible visual content for educational purposes;

  • contribute to improving the accuracy of clinical diagnostics;

  • support the professional training of future doctors in a modern digital format;

  • establish a unified standard for visual representation of pathomorphological changes in Ukraine.

In this regard, we are announcing a competition for the first stage of the project — the preparation of 80 basic educational histological specimens and their digitization. Each slide must be labeled with a QR code. All samples must be scanned and made available in a cloud storage by August 24, 2025, and must represent depersonalized materials and data.

Budget — UAH 1,100,000.

If you are interested in joining the project, please send an email to office@imifcharity.org by August 15 with the subject line: “Competition for the creation of educational histological specimens”. Your email will serve as confirmation of your intention to participate in the competition, and we will send you the form and technical requirements.

We are convinced that the implementation of this project will become a real breakthrough in medical education and practice, as well as a platform for multidisciplinary collaboration. It will allow the replacement of outdated and low-quality specimens in the departments of medical universities and the creation of a basic digital library for educational purposes. All digital data will be provided free of charge to doctors and medical students.
