Why do we support the development of blood donation in Ukraine?

Donor blood is necessary for cancer patients, victims of disasters, patients undergoing complex operations, etc. Shortage of donor blood can lead to deaths. To ensure the need for blood, there should be 40 donors per 1,000 inhabitants, now these indicators are equal to about 20.

Donations require not only donors and good specialists, but also high-quality devices and consumables. Our fund is often approached by Blood Centers with a request to help provide them with the latest. So, recently, the leadership of the Lviv Regional Blood Service Center asked us to help purchase quartered containers for collecting whole blood with leukofilters.

We found an opportunity to purchase 200 such containers and have already handed them over to the institution.
