Blood cancer is not a sentence. The "True Miracle" Foundation donated consumables for the Cherkasy Oncology Clinic

Every year, the number of Ukrainians suffering from oncological diseases of the blood is steadily increasing. Many of them, such as lymphoma, leukemia, and aplastic anemia, can be cured with a bone marrow transplant (BMT).

In 25-60% of patients after TCM, the main complication occurs - graft-versus-host reaction (GVHD). Usually, it is treated with hormonal drugs, but when they do not help, extracorporeal photopheresis of blood cells is used. This method is also highly effective in the treatment of autoimmune diseases.

Until recently, Ukrainian patients had to travel abroad for this procedure, today it is also available in our country .

In particular, the apparatus for photopheresis is available in the Cherkasy Regional Oncology Dispensary. The institution's administration appealed to our foundation to help purchase the necessary consumables for extracorporeal photopheresis procedures for patients with RTPG after bone marrow transplantation.

We understand how urgent this need is, so we promptly found an opportunity to purchase 20 sets of consumables for photopheresis.
